– Summary and Update
This report is prepared in support of the ongoing joint efforts by the
Longview Downtowners and the City of Longview to improve the lighting
conditions in the DC zone.

lighting’ as both a desirable and achievable objective. Potential benefits of
the project include:
1. Pubic safety, both pedestrian and property
2. Crime reduction & prevention
3. Increased utilization of public parking lots
4. Improved public perception of downtown livability
5. Enhancement of economic development and revitalization efforts
